“You don’t know the way of the blood. The gods do not add or remove anything. Only, with
a light touch, they nail you where have arrived. What before was wish, was choice, reveals
to you as destiny. This means becoming wolf. But you will remain the one who fled from
the houses, you will remain the ancient Lycaon.”
Cesare Pavese
My artistic approach considers:
The pack topic understood as mass impulsive and/or forced.
The individual and the collective.
The condition of violence, straining, suspension, the shift of meanings.
The change of individual in relation with belonging/acquired cultures.
The issue of choice in the double valency of will/need.
Blood ties.
From the methodological point of view I try to answer to this multiplicity of issues through
various media/techniques, regardless of the field and/or language changes. Usually I
always start extending the concept of sculpture across differents media (performance,
drowing, video, photography, etc.) to return back to the sculpture through postperformative
installations, who represent the last element of my work process.
