Nathan Crothers La Station - Nice

Nathan Crothers’ intent is to interrupt the preconceived notions of art by deconstructing, evaluating and appropriating the social structures surrounding the art object, and the methodologies and strategies they employ.
He strives to adopt these strategies of promotion, presentation and reception of the art object to produce work that questions the nature of the art object and the external influences that affect it’s meaning.
Nathan Crothers is an artist from Belfast, now based in Nice, France. He graduated from the University of Ulster in 2008 with B.A. honours in Fine and Applied Art, completed the co-directorship at Catalyst Arts; Ireland’s leading artist led gallery and has also won seventh annual Curfew Tower Award. He is currently a studio resident of La Station.
